LeBron James has another title to add to the novel that is his biography, as TheRoot.com and their list of the 100 Most Influential African Americans of 2011 listed LeBron James as the highest ranked athlete, and only one of two on the entire list.

James came in at no.36, where his only other fellow athlete, Serena Williams ranked in at no.41.
James has had by far the most difficult year of his life, at least professionally, but there is no doubting his multi talented and multi tasking operations that supersede his basketball have him as a truly influential member of American society.
He is one of the most recognisable figures in the world, not just in sport, and will surely be honoured to receive such recognition. The criteria for the list contains African Americans between the ages of 25 and 45 and measures their reach and substance amongst the community.
